PSL releases week one fixtures

The Castle Larger Premier Soccer League (PSL) has released week one fixtures with Highlanders set to play their season opener at the giant National Sports stadium on Saturday.

This season’s fixtures were released earlier this month without dates and venues.

Highlanders will be playing Black Rhinos in match day one for the second consecutive time. Last time the two sides played their season opener at Barbaourfieds stadium with Highlanders winning the tie 2-1.

Godfrey Makaruse and Gabriel Nyoni scored for Bosso, while Black Rhinos scored their only goal through Lot Chiwunga.

On Saturday Highlanders concluded their preseason program with a 1-1 draw against Chapungu at Barbourfields stadium.

Bosso who totally outclassed their opponents failed to convert their possessional dominance to goals and they had to settle for a draw in a match they could have won comfortably.

Highlanders scored in the 26th minute through Mbekezeli Sibanda who beat the Chapungu goalkeeper all systems out from a set piece.

Despite the draw, thousands of Highlanders fans who watched the match were left convinced that their team will be a force to reckon this season.
