The trio that was drafted into the first team, includes midfielder Mason Mushore (20), defender Nigel Ncube (21), and striker Daniel Msendami (22).
The trio joins 16-year-old Prince Ndlovu who was also promoted into the first team in early July 2022.
The New rookies might make their first team debut on Sunday when Bosso takes on Tenax FC at Barbour field’s stadium.
The club also extended the contract of Mthabisi “Mabobo” Ncube who was promoted into the first team in 2019. His contract was extended to 2026.
Technical Manager Baltemar Brito, promised to give the young stars game time.
“I promise to give the juniors game time to prove themselves and build their confidence. I understand that junior policy is very important to the club and has been a key factor in the progress of Highlanders over the years,” said Brito.
Speaking at the weekly press conference, Brito said he is happy for the young stars and he hopes that they will be able to fit into the first team.
“I have no doubt that the boys will fit in well into the club and this promotion comes at a time where most of our men are on the side-lines,” said Brito.
Some of the key players on the sidelines due to injury, are Toto Banda, Crispen Ncube, Muziwakhe Dlamini, Ray Lunga and Stanley Ngala who is on suspension. Veteran midfielder Nqobizitha Masuku is undergoing trials in the United Arab Emirates should he be successful the club will be short of first-team players, hence the roping in of the new young stars.
