Highlanders FC fans in and around Hwange will watch their team for the first time since 2017 on Sunday when the Bulawayo giants invade the coal mining town for a preseason friendly match against Hwange FC.
The two sides will field two teams each and treat the Hwange football loving community with a double header at Colliery stadium, with the first match scheduled to kick-off at 12:30pm.
When Hwange and Bosso last met at the Colliery stadium on the 6th of November 2017, the coal miners emerged 3-1 victors with goals from Delic Murimba and Collen Muleya who scored a brace in that afternoon.
However, a lot of changes have happened since then, with both sides going to this encounter with different coaches from those who were in charge in 2017.
In 2017 Erol Akbay who has since joined Ngezi Platinum stars was in charge of Highlanders, whilst Bigboy Mawiwi was in charge of Hwange.
Highlanders replaced Akbay with Madinda Ndlovu, whilst Nation Dube is now in charge of the coal miners.
Both teams are likely not to read much on the results of the two matches, but tactical aspects as they are preparing for the 2019 PSL season which kicks-off on the 30th of March.
