In line with the club’s strategic focus of creating a basket of sponsors and partners, Highlanders unveiled Eyethu Fruit and Veg as the official kit sponsor for the club’s Youth teams.
The unveiling of the sponsorship which also saw Eyethu Fruit and Veg manager Mrs Shleen Dube handing over the playing kits to Highlanders Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Nhlanhla Dube and Youth teams manager Smart Moyo took place at the club’s office on Thursday.
The two-year-deal will see Eyethu Fruits and Veg providing playing kits for the Highlanders’ Under 13, 15, 17 and 20 sides as well as their entire technical staff.
The club’s Under 13, 15 and 17 teams compete in the ZIFA Provincial Juniors League, while the Under 20 side (Bosso90) competes in the ZIFA Southern Region Division One League.
Dube, the Highlanders CEO welcomed Eyethu Fruit and Veg to the growing Bosso community of sponsors and partners, adding that the club was grateful for the sponsorship, and was looking forward to seeing the two brands growing together.
“We would like to thank Eyethu Fruit and Veg for coming on board, especially during such a difficult time. They will kit Youth teams from our Under 13s to the the Under 20s,” said Dube.
“This sponsorship will cover a huge gap because it speaks to the expense of taking care buying playing kits for our Youth teams. In the past, our under 20 side would use a recycled kit from the step down kits from the first team. We are glad that now they will have their own kit,” he said.
“Kits are not only in the laws of the game, but they are also important in terms of uniformity, confidence and for the players to always look clean, clear and smart,” he added.
Speaking on behalf of Eyethu Fruit and Veg, Shyleen Dube said their objective was to give back to the community whilst growing their brand.
“We are also grateful to Bosso for giving us opportunity to fulfil our mandates of giving back to the community”, she said.
Dube further stated that their mandate is not about money but they will feel good to see Bosso team coming out looking beautiful and smart.
