Prince Ndlovu made his debut for Highlanders FC on Sunday at Barbourfields Stadium following his promotion from the club’s developmental side, Bosso90, to the first team.
He made his debut in a match played against Manica Diamonds at BF on match day 20. Ndlovu was introduced in the 77th minute when the score line was 3-0 to make his maiden appearance in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League.
Ndlovu impressed in his debut, immediately after coming in, Ndlovu made some exchanges with another substitute Washington Navaya, who executed beautiful footwork, but shot wide in the game that Highlanders won 3-0.
His debut came soon after his promotion from the club’s developmental side, Bosso90, to the first team.
Prince became the youngest player in the club’s history to be promoted to the first team at the age of 16 years and 170 days old.
Highlanders announced Prince’s promotion on their official social media platforms on Friday. The club said it was pleased with the progress he had made.
“The Club is pleased to announce the promotion of 16-year-old Prince Ndlovu from the Highlanders FC development side, Bosso 90 to the main team. We’re proud of the progress he’s made. We wish him the best in this new challenge,” said the club.
