Coach Kelvin Kaindu is a happy man ahead of Sunday’s assignment against Chegutu Pirates at the fortress Barbourfields Stadium.
This comes after the gaffer told the media on Thursday during a pre-match media briefing that “Highlanders can’t do without fans” following a huge turnout by the Bosso faithfuls in Gweru when the boys cruised to a comfortable 2-0 win over Telone FC on Easter Monday.
“Highlanders cant do without fans they are the driving force. We enjoyed their support in Gweru (on Monday) they came in numbers, before and even after they were still celebrating with us, and we are hoping and praying the crowd will still be there to motivate and encourage the team to keep on pushing.”
Head Coach Kaindu is hopeful the fans will also come in their numbers on Sunday when his charges face off against newcomers Chegutu Pirates.
Pirates who are debutants to Castle Lager PSL have picked four points in four games.
They registered their first ever league win this past Sunday against Green Fuel FC following a narrow 1-0 victory.
Meanwhile, coach Kaindu revealed that the rest of the squad is fit and ready for selection except for goalkeeper Reward Muza who has not been training after sustaining an injury last week.
