The 43rd Independence Cup Champions, Highlanders FC is set to play with Yadah FC at the National Sports Stadium this Saturday.
Highlanders FC, left Bulawayo last Saturday for the President’s Independence Cup challenge did not depart from Harare ,but set a temporary base in the capital city to prepare for their match against Yadah.
The match is set to kick-off at 3pm.
During an interview with the Highlanders media, Highlanders Technical Manager said he would like to thank the Highlanders FC Executive for allowing them to camp in Harare in preparation of the game.
“l would like to thank the Highlanders Executive for the job well done as they enabled us to camp in preparation of our Yadah game” said Brito
Brito also added that the boys were ready to face off with Yadah FC though they understand that Yadah is a strong team but they will try to collect the maximum points.
”We understand Yadah is a very fast team in terms of pace and they are already used to playing at the National Sports Stadium,but we will try our best to go and play and collect the maximum points that are needed “ said Brito.
Brito also confirmed that they have 21 players in camp and they will be playing on a clean injury bill.
“The players are fit and we will be facing Yadah FC on a clean injury bill” said Brito
Highlanders are currently on position 4 with 8 points on the log while Yadah FC is sitting on position 10 with 7 points.
Since 2017 ,Highlanders FC and Yadah FC have played a total of 7 games in which Bosso won 5 matches, and the Miracle Boys have only won 1 and the one was a draw between the two teams.
Last year on the second half of the season , Bosso managed to collect maximum points against Yadah , which was Bosso’s first away win of the season.
