Highlanders FC will be hoping to collect maximum points when they take on Bulawayo City FC this coming Sunday at Barbourfields stadium.
Ahead of the local derby on Sunday, Bosso’s technical manager urged his players to put the past behind them.
“To perform this Sunday, we need to put the Whawha FC game behind us,” said Brito.
The two sides meet at Barbourfields Stadium in what should be an intriguing tie. Bulawayo City FC has endured a good spell in their last 3 games, winning all of them. While Highlanders FC was handed their first defeat under the technical manager Baltemar Brito last weekend on Saturday.
Bosso lost 2-1 to Prison Wardens, Whawha FC with all goals coming in the first half. Highlanders had their plans of ending the unwanted barren run on the road, which was however unsuccessful after the loss. It was Highlanders’ second away match since Brito arrived and things were not made easy as the players had to contend with a deliberately watered pitch that affected their game plan.
Speaking at the club’s weekly conference, Brito said he was anticipating a tough encounter come Sunday.
“It’s not going to be an easy game; City is a good team, we watched their match against Whawha,” said Brito.
Stanley Ngala and Rahman Kutsanzira will miss this tie due to suspension.
