Coach Kaindu hoping for team’s redemption after a poor run in May

Head Coach Kelvin Kaindu is hoping to see his troops  return to winning ways following a poor run in May.

The team did not record any victory last month drawing with ZPC Kariba, GreenFuel, log Leaders Manica Diamonds and losing 2-0 to former champions FC Platinum.

The Premier Soccer League (PSL) then announced it will take a break paving way for international matches.

It is the PSL break that Coach Kaindu believes helped them to re-organise themselves.

“The month of May wasn’t good for us, we dropped a number of points because of the games that we drew. I think that phase has passed and we have to get back to winning ways,” he told the media during a pre-match briefing ahead of Sunday’s clash against Bikita Minerals.

“I hope the break gave us an advantage in terms of player’s recovery.” added Kaindu.

Furthermore, Coach Kaindu also provided an update on player’s injuries.

“Godfrey Makaruse and Gillian Nyathi, who sustained minor injuries, are back in training. Our fitness test results showed that everyone is ready to play, with the exception of one player, Archford Faira, who is tending to family matters,” added Kaindu.

Andrew Mbeba who was on national duty with the Warriors during Zimbabwe’s World Cup qualifiers last week, is back and trained with the rest of the squad.
