The upcoming match-day 18 of the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League at Rufaro Stadium will feature the two biggest teams in the country. This will be the first time in 5 years that the two teams will clash at Rufaro Stadium, which is the home of Dynamos FC.

Head Coach Kelvin Kaindu stated that he was not paying much attention to the developments happening at Dynamos. During a pre-match media briefing ahead of Sunday’s clash against Dynamos, Kaindu told the media that the team will remain focused on the upcoming match and not be distracted by what is happening at Dynamos.

“We are not sure if we are being misled, and we don’t know what is happening behind closed doors – whether they are training or not. However, considering the significance of this game, we are not focusing too much on that,” said Kaindu.

This will be the club’s first match after the mid-season break. Prior to the break, Highlanders suffered a surprise defeat to Yadah FC at the Heart Stadium. Kaindu mentioned that the break was necessary as it provided the team with time to regroup after a rough patch.
“The break was necessary; it gave us the time to regroup since we had been going through a rough patch,” Kaindu stated.

Additionally, coach Kaindu revealed that the rest of the squad is fit and ready for selection.
