Highlander’s FC will be aiming to collect maximum points at Barbour fields stadium, this coming Sunday when they take on Mutare-based Tenax FC.
Speaking at a weekly press conference held at the Club’s offices, Highlanders Technical Manager Baltemar Brito, said he was not expecting an easy game against Tenax FC.
” This Sunday won’t be any different from other matches, it’s going to be a difficult game, Tenax FC is a team that is able to fight to the last minute and they are always behind the ball”, said Brito.
Highlanders’ FC midfielder, Adrian Silla was also present at the presser, he said the team was optimistic to collect points this weekend.
“The vibe is correct and, the team is ready to collect 3 points come Sunday”, said Silla.
The Technical Manager said the team had suffered knocks off from their previous game against Bulawayo City and as a result, some of their players would miss the Sunday fixture.
“On the sidelines, we have, Toto Banda, Crispen Ncube, , Muziwakhe Dlamini, and Ray Lunga all owing to injuries, Stanley Ngala was suspended due to a red card, and our veteran midfielder, Nqobizitha Masuku will also miss the game, he is in the United Arab Emirates for trials,” said Brito.
The club is currently standing in position 6 with 33 points from 22 encounters, while Tenax FC is in position 14 with 20 points.
During the first half of the season, Highlanders FC shared points with Tenax FC in the reverse fixture which was played in Mutare.
The match will kick off at 3 pm.
