Bosso and Chicken Inn will headline this weekend fixture in the Bulawayo derby when they meet on Sunday at Barbourfields stadium.
Kick-off is at 3pm.
Addressing Journalists at a weekly press conference held at the Highlanders Club offices, Technical manager Mandla Mpofu said he is not worried about the performance of Chicken Inn.
“It’s going to be a tricky match for us as Highlanders, we will rise to the occasion and make sure we go to this game and collect the maximum points and close the gap at the top”. Said Mpofu.
Bosso had their match abandoned in the 84th minute against FC Platinum while the gamecocks overpowered Bulawayo City 1-0 at Luveve Stadium on Saturday.
Chicken Inn are tied on 26 points with Dynamos whereas Bosso seat 10th on the log .
It’s a tricky encounter between the Bulawayo Giants and fans can expect goals from both teams .
The last time Bosso faced Chicken Inn in the Zimbabwe Castle Lager premier soccer league was in 2019, Bosso walked victories in the encounter with a comfortable 2-0 victory.
“On our Injury bill we have Andrew Mbeba, Whereas Stanley Ngala and Nqobizitha Masuku were affected by teargas last Sunday at Mandava Stadium” added Mpofu.
